Mal performs on sax, flute and alto flute and is joined by Bob Ventre on guitar. What is an alto flute ? Alto flute has a deeper voice with greater warmth than a standard flute. Mal has been composing jazz numbers since the 70’s , inspired by Brazilian melodictraditions, West Coast, groove, fusion, standard jazz repertoire, and chamber jazz influences. Bob, before working in New York and the Catskills pit orchestras, toured Europe and the U.S with the Buddy DeFranco Quartet.
