Opening Reception - "Mythic Visions"

Pinwheel Gallery is proud to present “Mythic Visions”, solo works by Kayla Billings! Join us for the opening reception Friday, August 1st from 5pm-9pm. This show runs from August 1st through August 29th. Akron-based artist, Kayla Billings draws inspiration from art history, with a focus on religious and mythological themes. "Mythic Visions" is an exploration of femininity through the lens of these themes. Each drawing, executed solely in ink, draws from the visual language of comic books while embracing the beauty of empty spaces. Kayla's drawings offer a journey that challenges traditional roles and reclaims femininity in a modern context.
