Northcoast Writers’ Showcase

The inaugural Northcoast Writers' Showcase takes place today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lake Erie College in Painesville. During the showcase, readers and aspiring writers can interact with published authors to find out what got them into the writing game. There will be workshops, and authors will also have their books available for sale and signing. Some of the participating writers include Funky Winkerbean creator Tom Batiuk, TV anchor and writer Romona Robinson, and locally based/nationally renowned writer Les Roberts. Keynote speaker Christina Baker Kline, the bestselling author of Orphan Train, will begin her talk at 3 p.m. The showcase and Kline's keynote address are free, but registration is required.
