New Music for Organ

The Cleveland Composers Guild presents a concert in collaboration with the Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Stephen Stanziano’s “Grant Them Rest” brings together chants of the Middle Ages and variations on John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme. Matthew C. Saunders’ “Seven Last Words” is a suite of music composed for Lent with inspiration from Psalms and ancient modes. James Wilding’s “Meditation” captures an atmosphere of calm spirituality and was written specially for a family wedding. And Lorenzo Salvagni’s “Prelude and Fuge” is an homage to J.S. Bach with elements of late-Romantic French styles.
