Morris Day and the Time/the Ohio Players

When he was still in high school, singer and multi-instrumentalist Morris Day played in a band with Prince. He would go on to have a role in the development of the Twin City dance/club sound that became so popular in the '80s. A founding member of Prince's band, the Time, he remained with the group until 1984 when he launched his solo career. Expect to hear '80s hits such as "Jungle Love" and "The Bird" at tonight's show. The Ohio Players, a street funk and underground R&B act that dates back to the '70s, shares the bill. (Niesel)
