Grateful Dead: Meet Up at the Movies

Grateful Dead singer Jerry Garcia passed away years ago, but the band remains popular. An annual event, the Grateful Dead Meet Up at the Movies features the screening of a special concert film. Tonight, you'll see an unreleased complete June 17, 1991 concert from Giants Stadium that's widely considered one of the greatest shows of the band's final decade of performing. It was also one of only two gigs recorded on 48-track. The film represents the first time the Bruce Hornsby and Vince Welnick line-up has ever appeared on the big screen. It screens at 7 p.m. at the Cedar Lee Theatre. Tickets cost $12.50. (Niesel)
