Gotta Dance

Groundworks DanceTheater challenges conceptions of modern dance, continually evolving its programming to engage audiences and resonate with the human experience. Tonight at Cain Park, the dance company will premiere a work by director David Shimotakahara. Percussionist Luke Rinderknecht will accompany the performance. Also on the program is a tribute to Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders by Tony Award-winning choreographer Lynn Taylor-Corbett and Adam Larsen. And there’s a work set to music from Singin’ in the Rain. The show starts at 7, and tickets are $25 in advance or $28 on the day of show, with repeat performances tomorrow and Saturday. (Gonzalez)
