Drones in Agriculture

Drones are revolutionizing agriculture and farming, through specialized sensors, digital image processing, and software algorithms. These specialized platforms can provide a wealth of information on crop health, field elevations, volumetrics, plant counts, and crop scouting. Thomas Taconet is an FAA licensed remote pilot and operates Avon UAS. Tom will provide an overview of the drone hardware and software systems used for precision agriculture. This program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. This presentation is not a sales pitch. This is part of our ongoing, free public education series on drone use in Northeast Ohio.
