Xavier Rudd/Nahko & Medicine for the People

Often compared to laid-back singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd sounds similarly low-key on the albums he's released over the course of a career that stretches back some 13 years. The Aussie multi-instrumentalist plays a bit of everything — even the Didgeridoo. His latest album, Spirit Bird, is a collection of terrific tunes that starts with something trippy ("Lioness Eye") and even includes a groovy 10-minute long jam ("Full Circle") that should make his jam band fans happy if he includes it in tonight's set.
