Write to Assemble

This month's installment of the Write to Assemble Series at Happy Dog features visiting journalist Ted McLelland. He'll discuss his new book "Nothin' But Blue Skies: The Heydey, Hard Times, and Hopes of America's Industrial Heartland." The city of Cleveland features prominently in McLelland's book and with any luck he'll read an excerpt. He'll certainly have copies to sign and sell after the program. These events are typically pretty low-key, held in the Underdog (Happy Dog lower level), but they're great opportunities to hang with Cleveland's literary community, and a serviceable excuse for a hot dog. Discussion is organized by Ohio City Writers and kicks off at 7:30 p.m. (Sam Allard)
