Whatever Album Release

The Cleveland punk band Whatever was a presence on the local scene during the ‘90s and early 2000s before going on hiatus. Now, after a nearly 25-year break, original members singer-guitarist Ben Wrecked and drummer Matt Fish have reunited with guitarist Brett Moore and singer-bassist Peter Woodward to bring the band back to life. Whatever's latest album, Into Darker Days, a collection of tunes that possess a Bad Religion-like sense of urgency, marks the band’s first full-length release since 1997’s Youngsters. Punk rocker J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines) produced the album. It arrives on May 30 on Dr. Strange Records and will be available on 12-inch vinyl (black & limited edition colored vinyl), compact disc and digital streaming platforms. The group plays a release party tonight at 9 at the Happy Dog. Cursed Rosie and Sabon open.
