Wesley Bright & the Hi-Lites/Dan Shaw & Organ Crusaders

Akron neo-soul sensations Wesley Bright & the Hi-Lites have started to pick up steam on the local scene. The band regularly packs the Happy Dog and Beachland Tavern and will undoubtedly draw a big crowd for this New Year’s Eve gig at Mahall’s, which will be the first time the guys have played the club “There are some new songs we’ll have in the set and we’re always devising schemes for special songs but I’m not sure what they are yet,” says drummer Nick Fritsch. “I’m sure we’ll have something special going on. I think it’s going to be hip. It should be quite an event. Just from our Facebook page, it seems like a lot of people are into it.” (Jeff Niesel)
