Wanda Jackson/Alan Leatherwood

Spunky honkytonk and rockabilly singer Wanda Jackson was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009. It was a well-deserved nod when you consider the singer’s extensive career. Born in Maud, Okla., the self-proclaimed Queen of Rockabilly got her start in the ’50s. It’s a testament to the 76-year-old’s tenacity that Jackson, who briefly dated Elvis Presley when she toured with him, has never let up. Produced by Justin Townes Earle, her 32nd studio album, 2012’s Unfinished Business, shows off her bluesy side, especially on the gritty opener “Tore Down.” Jackson has regularly played the Beachland and always puts on a good show. Don’t miss her. (Niesel)
