Trevor Paglen: The Planet as Sensor

Trevor Paglen, a 2017 MacArthur Fellow, employs photography, sculpture, investigative journalism, engineering, geography, and other disciplines to document covert government projects and examine how human rights are imperiled in this era of mass surveillance. In his lecture, The Planet as Sensor, Paglen will discuss his projects dealing with images, infrastructure, vertical geographies, artificial intelligence, and the changing nature and politics of landscape.
