Tokyo Story

In their new film Tokyo Waka, directors John Haptas and Kristine Samuelson examine the ways in which nature is represented in Japan's bustling metropolis. One guy keeps a small plant in his office that reminds me of the natural world. And the directors include numerous shots of the city's many crows flying recklessly through the sky. The subject matter might be a bit dry but the movie is beautifully shot. It makes its Cleveland premiere tonight at 7 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
