Three Days Grace/Trapt/Otherwise

Many people may have thought Three Days Grace disappeared with the emo middle school fad they initiated. However, the band has persisted through the decade with its 2012 album Transit of Venus. The group is known for its metal instrumentation combined with lyrics about dark inner struggles and battling anger. “I Hate Everything About You” and “Animal I Have Become” became the anthem of every teenager that thought he or she had emotional problems. Thankfully, the instrumentals were always pretty solid to legitimize the overly depressing subject matter. And let’s not forget openers Trapt with the headbanging single “Headstrong” although that’s really all there is to say about Trapt. They once had a single. There’s a reason both of the group’s newest albums haven’t made much of a splash, but if you’ve always wanted that personal small venue show for some nostalgia of the old days when you wore pitch black eyeliner and were always sad, this teenage classic is a show you won’t want to miss.
