The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead A documentary on the making of Night of the Living Dead screens tonight at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and it tells the story of how a 27-year-old college dropout gathered an unlikely group of people together in Pittsburgh in order to shoot the iconic film. Birth of the Living Dead follows George Romero and his 1968 zombies through the rigors of low-budget production, and how the film ultimately turned a lens on the society of the time: an image of unrest and social upheaval during the 1960s. Tickets are $9. (Trenholme) 11150 East Blvd., 216-421-7350, clevelandart.org.
