The Text Kitchen

Writers! Actors! Come into the Text Kitchen on the 3rd Tuesday of every month! Free after-school open mic for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 15-20. Practice your acting and writing skills with other young artists and pros Mindy Childress Herman and David Munnell. Writers -- bring up to 10 pages of new written work like theatre scripts, screenplays, monologues, spoken word, etc. Actors – practice your audition and performance skills with cold readings. Actors are cast on the spot and perform in an open mic style format. Or just come on in and watch – everyone is welcome!
