The Set Up

One of the Cleveland Museum of Art's current exhibits, Stag at Sharkey's: George Bellows and the Art of Sports, showcases the famous painting Stag at Sharkey's along with two dozen other paintings, drawings and lithographs from Bellows. Lords of the Ring: Boxing Films before Rocky and Raging Bull, a series designed to accompany the exhibit, aims to focus on some of the greatest boxing movies ever made. Tonight, the series features The Set-Up, a 1949 film about an aging boxer who can't turn down the opportunity to get one more victory in the ring. The film shows tonight at 7 and on Friday night at 7 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $10, $8 for CMA members. (NIesel)
