The Origins of Professional Baseball in Cleveland

Cleveland's first attempt at an organized baseball club, the Forest Citys formed in 1865, shortly after the Civil War ended, and then played until the 1860s. By 1871, they joined the National Association as a professional club and played in the very first major league game ever played. Tonight at 7 at the Happy Dog, Indians Baseball historian, Jeremy Feador will highlight significant members, events and games in the club's history in his talk, "The Origins of Professional Baseball in Cleveland."
