The Ninth Annual International Ohio Burlesque Festival 2019
When: Thu., Aug. 1 2019
A burlesque, drag, vaudeville, variety, sideshow and aerial festival, the ninth annual International Ohio Burlesque Festival features a range of performers, including Lou Lou La Duchesse De Rière, a member of the Mohawk Nation in Kahnawake, Canada. The event, which takes place at the Beachland Ballroom, will also celebrate the release of The Rustbelt Burlesque: A Softer Side of a Heavy Metal Town, a 196-page full color book that provides a history of the modern and old burlesque in Cleveland. One of the book's contributors, photographer Bob Perkoski, will show images not featured in the book at Space Rock Gallery tomorrow and Saturday, where the book will available for purchase. Tickets range from three-day passes to general admission tickets, and VIP and reserved seats are available. Festivities commence at 8 tonight. Consult the Beachland website for more info. (Niesel)
