The Marcus King Band

A fourth-generation musician, singer-guitarist Marcus King comes to town tonight in advance of his forthcoming record, El Dorado, produced by the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. The single, “Wildflowers & Wine,” shows off King's naturally bluesy voice, which pairs nicely with a bit of old school organ and a gentle piano riff. "The Well," on the other hand, features the kind of grunge-y guitar riffs and hoarse vocals for which the Black Keys are known. Expect to hear a mix of both types of tunes at tonight's show. (Niesel)
