The London Souls/Thaddeus Anna Greene/Gypsy Daze

After a brief intro piece, The London Souls’ 2011 debut album drops right into “She’s So Mad,” which a heady rock ‘n’ roll affair dripping with fuzz. This year, the band dropped Here Come The Girls, which builds relentlessly on the footprint initially laid down two years ago. Southern-style rocker “Honey” encapsulates what the crowd at tonight’s show can look forward to. The song has a patient and groovy build toward a wide open plain of rock glory. Drummer Chris Saint and bassist Kiyoshi Matsuyama lay down a solid foundation for guitarist Tash Neal to shred a hot solo. Recently, the band has been touring with Tedeschi Trucks Band and The Black Crowes, which alone gives the listener a sense of how the band gets down. (Eric Sandy)
