The Estate of Reverend Albert Wagner

Gray’s Auctioneers is proud to officially welcome bidding on artworks from the estate of Cleveland’s most recognized Outsider artist, the Reverend Albert Wagner. Reverend Wagner achieved a fair amount of notoriety for his art beginning in the 1990s, and in the wake of his passing 6 years ago the entire inventory of his house museum, consisting of approximately 800 artworks, is now coming up for auction. Albert set himself apart in artistic circles with a strong focus on spiritual themes and African American history. He is featured in the award-winning 2008 biographical documentary, “One Bad Cat”.
