Merging nostalgic alt-country and gin-yoo-wine bluegrass vibes, The Devil Makes Three is a double shot of bourbon that’ll knock you on your ass in the best of ways. The band released a live album in 2011 — Stomp and Smash — that perfectly sums up the brash punk attitude to which you’ll be privy at tonight’s gig. The upbeat, old-timey jams of “Old Number Seven,” for instance, reveals how much a party the band’s live show tends to become. Likewise, “Help Yourself” has that foot-stompin’ summertime atmosphere for which we’re all clamoring here in Cleveland. The cozy confines of the Cambridge Room will provide a more intimate setting. Jonny Fritz opens the show. (Eric Sandy)
