The Color of Creation and the Creation of Color: Making Art in Ancient Egypt

Today at 5:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Art's Recital Hall, Case's Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities and the CMA co-sponsor a talk by Dr. Gay Robins, professor of Art History at Emory University. Robins, a noted scholar in Ancient Egyptian art, delivers a talk exploring the ancient civilization's complex artistic intermingling of color, mythology, and politics. Robins is the author of an authoritative survey text on Egyptian Art, The Art of Ancient Egypt, and has served on Emory's faculty for almost 30 years.
