The Chalk Festival

Since 1990, the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Chalk Festival has become one of the most highly anticipated events of the end of the summer. This weekend, join the fun with your neighbors, family, friends, local schools and professional artists. Large squares (approximately three by four feet of sidewalk) can be reserved for $16 (includes a 24-color box of chalk), and small squares (approximately two by three feet) are $8 (including a 12-color box of chalk). It all takes place this Saturday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept 20 from noon to 5 p.m. Rain or shine. Watching the artists and enjoying the entertainment is free. (Usmani)
