The Case for Making Your Own Bookcloth Taught by Cris Takacs

Almost any fabric can be used as bookcloth if it is prepared properly. On the first day of this workshop, you will prepare cloth of your choosing which will be used to cover a case-bound book. The majority of books today are case bound; a book in which a separately made hard cover is attached to the book block. As a bonus on the second day, you will learn how to make an attached spine binding, a method used to repair a book with its original covers. No prior experience required.
