TEEN songwriter and keyboardist Lizzie Lieberson wrote the Brooklyn-based band's single, "Please" as "a conversation that she wished she was able to have with her late father." It features whispered vocals and an undulating bass riff (think of a more soulful Portishead). It's one of many terrific tunes on the band's latest effort, Love Yes, an album whose shimmering pop tunes have rightly drawn comparisons to both Prince and the Bangles. (Niesel)
