Sweetheart Showcase: A Tribute to Broadway

The ninth annual Sweetheart Showcase promises a triumvirate of popular entertainments: singing, dancing and stripping. The showcase will feature songs from Little Shop of Horrors, The Ziegfeld Follies, Hamilton, Lion King, Get On Your Feet, Wicked and more. Local burlesque performers such as Bella Sin, Trick Diction, Samantha Echo, Poppy Poison, Selena Noir and Dakota Cox will be on hand. And special guests Veronica Otim and Jeremy Beloate of Baldwin Wallace University's musical theater program will be in attendance as well. The event starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Beachland Ballroom. Tickets are $17 in advance, or $20 at the door. (Niesel)
