Summerland Tour 2018 with Everclear/Marcy Playground/Local H

Portland, OR-based Everclear made a name for themselves with songs written about old wounds from front man Art Alexakis’ deadbeat dad. Alexakis founded the Summerland Tour in hopes of bringing some relief to those mourning the death of rock 'n’ roll. The tour is now on its sixth year, proving that grunge and rock fans aren’t evaporating anytime soon. The band has not released an album since 2015’s Black is the New Black, and it has a set list dripping in nostalgia. “Wonderful,” “Father of Mine” and “Santa Monica” are bound to inspire sing alongs. This year, Everclear is joined by fellow '90s rockers Local H, best known for “Bound For the Floor.” The band has dipped a toe into hardcore and Seattle-style grunge over the years. Marcy Playground of “Sex and Candy” fame will also spice up this year’s bill. (Weber)
