Straight Outta Kinshasa

A ragtag group of musicians that includes four paraplegics and a homeless boy, Staff Benda Bilili started out playing the streets of Kinshasa before becoming an international sensation that can now fill European concert halls. Directors Renaud Barret and Florent de la Tullaye spent five years with the group to chronicle its rise in the documentary Benda Bilili! The film includes footage of live performances and a behind-the-scenes look at recording sessions. It screens at 7 tonight at the Cleveland Museum of Art and ties in with the museum's exhibit of Congo sculpture. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
