Spirit of the Beehive

This indie rock group recently built its own recording studio inside a Philadelphia vinyl pressing plant. As a result, it was able to flesh out the songs on its new album, I'm So Lucky, n person earlier this year, giving the tunes a real immediacy. The group performs tonight at 7 at Mahall's 20 Lanes in Lakewood. On tour in support of their debut EP, Giddy Skelter, Tim Kinsella & Jenny Pulse open. The two have spent years as writers and visual artists. Kinsella has played with Joan of Arc, Cap'n Jazz and Owls, while Pulse is a vocalist, electronic musician and producer who has released dance-oriented pop songs under her own name.
