Sound City

Muscle Shoals, Ala. is famous for the recording studios that have delivered a distinctive, R&B-influenced sound. It’s remarkable that a city with a population of scarcely more than 10,000 people would have had such a remarkable influence on rock ’n’ roll. Director Greg “Freddy” Camalier explores this phenomenon in his new documentary Muscle Shoals. Interviews with rock icons such as Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Bono help tell the incredible story of the little town that produced a big sound. The film screens at 7 tonight and at 1:30 on Sunday at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
