Sonic Sessions: The Suffers/Jakubi

Much like Fitz & the Tantrums or Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, the Suffers, a 10-piece ensemble, sound like a blast from the past. Their recent self-titled album shows off the soulful vocals of lead singer Kam Franklin topped off the group with soaring vocals. The band has graduated from Houston clubs to the festival circuit so tonight’s show at the Rock Hall should signal a return to the band’s small hall roots and will provide locals to see the up-and-coming act in an intimate environment.
