A former Cleveland who now resides in L.A. and Nashville, singer-songwriter Rob Mayes comes to the Winchester tonight with lots of momentum behind him. Closer, the title track from his new EP, made enough of an impact to wind up on the country music charts, and "Road with No Lines," his second single, has performed well too. It features Mayes' resonant voice and a catchy chorus that seems like it's destined for radio airplay. Mayes makes a reference to Cleveland in the moody "Prospector," a tune that's more rock than country. Expect to hear all these tunes when Mayes, who's in town for the holidays, performs tonight.
