Responding to the Mental Health Needs of Youth of Color by Any Means Necessary
Join us for the Kessler Freedheim Lecture featuring Dr. Riana Elyse Anderson, clinical psychologist, CEO & Founder of RACE Space Inc. and Associate Professor at Columbia University School of Social Work. Dr. Anderson’s work focuses on helping Black youth and families cope with race-related stress through racial socialization. She will explore theories, practices and emerging technologies that support healing from racial trauma and responsibly leverage youths’ mobile device use. Community respondent Habeebah Rasheed Grimes will join Dr. Anderson. The event will be moderated by Jennifer King, Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Center on Trauma and Adversity.
