Porfirio

Based on a true story about a Colombian man who was partially paralyzed after a police bullet grazed him, Porfirio starts slowly as director Alejandro Landes depicts just how dismal the man’s life has become now that he’s confined to a wheelchair. And yet, the husky fellow can’t stop thinking about how to take revenge on the guys who shot him even as he struggles to wheel himself around his shabby apartment. (Jeff Niesel)
