Loud and psychedelic as hell, People’s Blues of Richmond (from Virginia, not the Northeast Ohio exurb) deliver freakishly enticing carnival-type music. The word “gypsy” is involved often when talking of their style. Good Time Suicide is a fierce blend of all things drugs-, sex- and rock ‘n’ roll-related, with a proper Eastern twist that will make dancing at their live shows all the more involved and thrilling. The band is driven by escapism and hedonism — twin compasses in their journey into angular, shifty rock music. Oh, and the name? Think of the acronym behind your favorite dive bar beer. (Sandy)
