Noma, My Perfect Storm

Pierre Deschamps' documentary, Noma, My Perfect Storm, provides a profile of celebrated chef Rene Redzepi, a guy who approaches cooking as if he's an artist. While that could be said about many chefs, Redzepi takes things to an extreme. "As a cook, you're creating a sentence," he says at one point. "We're not following a recipe; we're creating a recipe," he says at another point. The storyline follows the drama that ensues after the restaurant loses its status as the "best restaurant in the world." The film screens at 7 tonight and at 7 on Friday night at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
