Nick Lowe/Paul Cebar

Veteran singer-songwriter Nick Lowe can truly say he's been there. The guy started playing pub rock in the U.K. in the '70s and was a co-founder of Stiff Records, working with many of the label's punk bands. Recently, the creator of hits like "Cruel to Be Kind" and "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace Love and Understanding," has settled into a groove with the Americana-influenced sound of his last two albums, 2007's At My Age and 2011's The Old Magic.
