Morgan Mecaskey CD release/Honeybucket/Tom Evanchuck

There’s a wealth of good female-fronted folk acts in Northeast Ohio and singer-songwriter Morgan Mecaskey deserves to be counted among them. Mecaskey, who used to front the celebrated indie rock act Tinamou, has now gone the solo route and tonight’s show serves a release party for her new EP, Righteous Kind. Meticulously produced by Dave Douglas, who recorded the disc at Danger House, his Cleveland Heights studio, the album features beautiful string arrangements that compliment Mecaskey’s big, bold voice.
