Case Western Reserve University invites the community to attend the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation on Friday, January 17. The featured speaker will be Khalil Gibran Muhammad, racial justice scholar and Harvard history professor. Muhammad’s scholarship examines the broad intersections of race, democracy, inequality and criminal justice in modern U.S. history. He will deliver the lecture “Diversity is Not Enough: How Bias Education Makes Us Smarter, Fairer and Kinder” focusing on how we can move toward greater racial equity at the individual, institutional, and civic level. The event is free and open to all.
