“La Siempreviva,” a Colombian play by Miguel Torres, tells the story of the terrorist group, M-19’s November 1985 takeover of the Justice Palace in Bogota, Colombia, from the viewpoint of ordinary citizens. “Julieta Marin, a law student working to pay for her studies in the Justice Palace’s cafeteria, disappears during the takeover. She does not reappear among the survivors or the dead. Her disappearance unleashes chaos among those who knew her best. La Siempreviva” shows the struggles and wishes of these ordinary citizens as they are affected by the turbulent social changes affecting their country. In Spanish with English supertitles.
