Long-time singer-songwriter Josh Ritter captures listeners with his smooth voice and vivid lyrical stories on his latest album, Sermon on the Rocks. He arrived on the folk scene back in 1999 with his self-titled album, which gave us the first taste of his masterful songwriting and '60s era folk singer-songwriter vibe. The new album represents somewhat of a change from his usual laid-back and low key acoustic arrangements. This time around, Ritter experiments with electric guitar, organ and a variety of percussive instruments but keeps his Bob Dylan-esque vocals.
