For its latest exhibition, Canopy has partnered with the Cleveland Public Library. Jasper Wood’s Cleveland offers a glimpse into this Cleveland photographer’s work in and around Scovill Ave. and the Central neighborhood in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The exhibition, includes 20 photographs and a digital presentation of his short film, Streetcar, marks the first time the library has done this kind of community outreach with its photo archives. These images and film were selected from over 800 items in the Jasper Wood Collection in CPL’s Photograph Collection, Center for Local & Global History. Jasper Wood’s Cleveland opens with a reception at Canopy from 6 to 10 tonight. The exhibition remains on view through Nov. 14. Free. (Usmani)
