Jamaican Queens/Times 10/Nothing Major

Longtime regulars at Mahall’s, Jamaican Queens spin through again tonight. They’re still working their 2015 album, Downers, which covers a hell of a ground of danceable ground, like their earlier stuff. Single “Bored + Lazy” is a slacker rave in slow-motion, and tunes like “Don’t Call Me Up” kick up the tempo and the inventive percussion in fresh ways. Jamaican Queens are a super fun band, and they tend to roll out the excitement every time they come to Lakewood. (Sandy)
