Jam for Justice

While “rockstar” may be one of the last titles that anybody would associate with the typical lawyer or doctor, the guys in the locally based bands Just Us, Faith & Whiskey, Rule 11 and the Sanctions will demonstrate what makes the city the home of rock and roll as they step away from their stuffy courtroom/office for the House of Blues stage. The show, named Jam for Justice, benefits the Legal Aid Society and the concert celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Gideon v. Wainwright court ruling — Legal Aid aims to protect those not covered by the case — with a tribute to the Rolling Stones. If you find yourself running behind on your way to the show, don’t worry too much; the drummer from Just Us (get it?) is a surgeon, so there’s always that chance you’ll have a bit of a wait if they’re first on the bill.
