Introduction to Western Papermaking

When: Sat., May 23, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sun., May 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 2015

The basics of Western papermaking will be taught in this hands-on, experiential workshop. Learn the technical skills of sheet formation, how to pigment pulp, how and why to combine and layer fibers, and much more. After instruction, you’ll pull as much paper as time allows, using a variety of fibers including bleached and pigmented cotton, abaca and flax.
