International Talk Like a Pirate Day

Shiver me timbers! Declared International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) in 1995 by John Bauer (Ol’ Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap’n Slappy), this is a chance for landlubbers, scallywags and seadogs celebrate. Come dressed as a pirate and/or figure out your pirate name and save $5 on same-day admission. In addition to full Aquarium access, special ITLAPD Aquarium adventures include the chance to make and race a pirate-themed soap ship (11am – 3pm), an excuse to try out a a few basic pirate phrases and the ability to meet mascot land shark Finn (2pm).
